We are going GREEN!

Sky River Industries has recognized a strong need for environmentally friendly cabinets. We are here to help you with your specific built green needs. We have worked to develop a system that is flexible to work with "LEED" projects and "Built Green" projects To make our system flexible we have created 3 main points of green production.

Part 1 - Box Construction

Sky River Industries has selected FSC certified hardwood plywood from States Industries located in Eugene OR.  This plywood is made with NO Urea Formaldehyde added. The plywood comes with a clear uv coat low voc that meets green requirements.
Part 2 - Finish Coatings

Sky River Industries has selected Kem Aqua Plus waterbased products for our finishing of green products. Made by Sherwin Williams this product complies with HAP's emission requirements and has no flash point or odor. Kem Aqua has undergone rigorous testing to maintain no blistering or checking after many cycles of freeze-thaw and cold checking. Dedicated to quality Sherwin Williams has created this product to be resistant to blushing, as well as UV light, assuring a beautiful finish that is more resistant to yellowing.
Part 3 - Face Frame & Doors

Sky River Industries went searching high and low to find vendors able to work with us to provide visually pleasing environmentally friendly products to complete the look of your green built cabinets. Sun River Industries stepped to the task and has engineered for us a beautiful solid core bamboo door. Bamboo has good looks with durability, and is a renewable source, giving you everything you need to have a quality cabinet that is environmentally friendly. Continental Hardwoods provides us with compatible bamboo face frame material that will hold up to time and complete the finished look of excellence. Other species are available depending on the level of green you are trying to achieve. Many of the common day woods such as alder, maple, and cherry can be produced as green cabinets.
